Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been earned on hardcourt
A revitalized Medvedev claimed his maiden championship for nearly 30 months with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament final.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has endured a challenging year, managing just a single victory at the big events and suffering a setback at the American major.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serve in particular - resulted in him exiting of the top ten and ultimately splitting with long-term trainer Gilles Cervara.
Now working with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the past month - culminating in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over opponent Moutet.
This marks the player's maiden championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hardcourt since spring of 2023.
Victory also signifies the Russian has achieved twenty-one titles at twenty-one distinct tournaments.
"It's the first time I have attended a competition with my both daughters at once, so to secure a trophy is especially meaningful," stated world number 14 the champion.
"This championship is in honour of my child her name, because the first title I achieved when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six finals, featuring in the German tournament in the past months.
His defensive approach and frequent emotional displays on court had caused some to doubt if his ability to perform at the top level was concluded.
Yet the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, making an effort to come to the net and play positively, backed up by an better serving game.
He fought back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the challenging Frenchman, winning 4 of the last five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The competitors swapped service breaks in the following set before Moutet, attempting for his first professional championship, seized the initiative to create a decider.
He rescued 4 early-game break points in a tight third set before Medvedev won the break to 15 to close out the victory.
Fittingly, the winner earned victory with a shot at the front of the court, with Moutet failing to manage a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
